SAMSUNG GIVEAWAY CONTEST
RULES and REGULATIONS

HOW TO ENTER
Complete the contest form online. Correctly answer the skill-testing question. NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. Entries are limited to one (1) entry per person. Entrants may use only one email address if they have more than one. All contest entries must be received by December 31, 2008 at 11:59pm Toronto time. The Home & Style Studio Tour, and those affiliated with it will not be responsible for lost, damaged, incomplete, misdirected and illegible entries, which will be null and void. A random electronic draw will be made from all eligible contest entries on or about the date of January 5, 2009 and the winner will be contacted by telephone by a representative of the Home & Style Studio Tour. The winner will then receive a letter confirming the prize won, and given all details as to how to claim the prize.

PRIZE
There are a total of six (6) product prizes to be won, consisting of one of three (3) Samsung mp3 players valued at approximately $100 Cdn each, and one of three (3) Samsung digital photo frames valued at approximately $200 Cdn each. The total approximate retail value of all contest prizes provided by Samsung Electronics is $900 Cdn. The prize must be accepted as awarded. The prize is for personal use only. No substitution. The prize is non-transferable and cannot be changed once booked or redeemed for cash or credit, in whole or in part. Requests for cash refunds will not be entertained. The prize suppliers reserve the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value in the event that the prize(s) featured are not available. Prize suppliers also reserve the right to impose additional restrictions on their part of the prize. The winner will be contacted following the drawing of the prize. The organizers of the contest will make all reasonable efforts to contact the winner by telephone and/or email. If the organizers are unable to contact the winner within a sufficient amount of time as deemed appropriate by the organizers, the organizers retain the right to disqualify the winner's entry and will draw a new winner from the remaining entries.

ELIGIBILITY/ODDS
The contest is open to all legal residents of Canada, eighteen (18) years of age or older, with the exception of residents of the Province of Quebec.. Home & Style Studio Tour participants and sponsors and members of their immediate families or households are not eligible to enter the contest. Employees and members of their immediate families and households of Home & Style Studio Tour, Jeffrey Stolberg Design Inc., Marketplace Events, Samsung Electronics are also not eligible to enter. The winner will be required to sign a standard declaration and release form confirming compliance with the rules and waiving any liability of Home and Style Studio Tour, Jeffrey Stolberg Design Inc., Marketplace Events, Samsung Electronics as well as any other sponsors or participants of the Home & Style Studio Tour not previously referred to, their affiliates and respective agents, employees, officers and directors (collectively the “Promotion Entities”) arising out of the acceptance of the prizes as awarded or if services offered do not prove to be entirely satisfactory.
Any decision made by the contest organizer in respect of this contest shall be final. The odds of winning the prize are one in x where x is the number of contest entries received.

The Promotion Entities make no warranties, and hereby disclaim any and all warranties, express or implied, concerning any prize furnished in connection with this contest. Without limiting the generality of the foregoing, every such prize is awarded and provided “as is”, without warranty of any kind, either expressed or implied, and the Promotion Entities hereby disclaim all such warranties, including but not limited to, the implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and/or infringement of any intellectual property right or rights.

GENERAL TERMS
As a condition of winning and redeeming the prize, the prizewinner is required to sign and return a declaration and release. In addition, as a condition of winning and redeeming the prize, the prizewinner, at the Promotion Entities sole discretion, may be required to execute any applicable form required by tax authorities and prize suppliers.
Proof of transmission by any participant of any kind or nature does not constitute proof of delivery to or receipt by the organizer or its representative of the whole or any part of the contest materials. By submitting the contest entry, the winner hereby agrees and grants the Promotion Entities the right, but not the obligation, to the use of his or her name, voice and likeness, along with his or her city and province for advertising and promotional purposes in connection with the contest and other promotions without further compensation and releases the Promotion Entities from any liability with respect thereto. If the organizer in its sole discretion, so elects, the winner will be required to submit to, and to cooperate fully in a background check to confirm eligibility. It is the participant’s responsibility to ensure that he or she has complied with all the requirements and conditions contained in these rules. The organizer reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual who the organizer finds to be tampering with the entry process or with the operation of the contest, to be acting in violation of the rules, or to be acting with the intent to corrupt, distort, disrupt or undermine the legitimate operation or security of the contest. Subject to any governmental authority that may be required, the organizer requires the right, without prior notice and at any time, to disqualify any participant, or in the organizer’s sole option, to terminate the contest, in whole or in part, or to modify, suspend or extend the contest in any way, if the organizer determines in its sole discretion, that the contest is impaired or corrupted or that fraud or technical problems, failure or malfunctions have destroyed or severely undermined or may destroy or severely undermine the proper fairness, administration and/or feasibility of the contest or any component of the contest.

GOVERNING LAW
Subject to all applicable federal, provincial and municipal laws, these rules govern all aspects of this contest and are binding on all entrants. All issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation and enforceability of these rules or the rights and obligations of a participant or the organizer in connection with the contest shall be determined under, governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of Ontario without giving affect to any choice of law or conflict of law rules or provision that would cause the application of any other jurisdictions laws.

PERSONAL INFORMATION
By completing an entry form in the contest, each participant consents to the collection, use and distribution of his/her personal information by the organizer for the purposes of running the contest. “Personal Information” is the information that identifies the participant as an individual such as e-mail address and home address.
