An introductory course on lighting with hands-on demonstration for light and colour,
light source selection, lighting fixture selection and performance. This presentation will take you
step-by-step through the lighting design process and offer helpful hints to enhance every residential
application. Understand why lighting is referred to as an art and a science!
Tom Butters has been the Program Manager, instructor and facilitator
at Canlyte’s Lighting Concept Centre since 2000. He develops and implements lighting education
programs for various audiences including Interior Designers, Architects and students of Design.
Tom is Lighting Certified, a designation earned from the National Council for Qualification
of the Lighting Professions in the USA.
